A magical world for children

Discover, listen, play and grow with Murkun!

Stories to read alone, listen to together or put on for a child’s own adventure. Murkun and his friends draw children in with great plots and quietly reveal important things — about friendship, courage, feelings, choices and the world around them.

Every story is a new adventure

Stories children want to return to

Murkun and his friends set off on big and little adventures: they travel, build, make mistakes, reconcile, overcome fears and discover something new. In each of them, children can recognise a little of themselves.

Adventures that captivate

Murkun and his friends never have two days alike. A great journey or a small family event can become a whole adventure — one you want to discover right to the end.

Characters to believe in

Each one has their own character. They get upset, afraid, argue, make mistakes, reconcile and try again — which is why it is so easy to find someone like yourself among Murkun’s friends.

Important things live inside the story

We do not stop an adventure to deliver a moral. Children see the hero’s choice, its consequences, and what could have been done differently for themselves.

Growing together

Big things in little stories

Rather than telling a child to “be kind” or “do not be afraid,” we let them experience it with the hero: share, tell the truth, ask forgiveness, stand up for a friend or dare to try once more.

Kindness

Noticing when someone is sad. Sharing. Helping not because you “have to,” but because you can make someone’s day better.

Courage

Being afraid is normal. Courage begins when a hero still takes the next step, asks for help or tries again.

Friendship

Friendship is not only about having fun together. It is also about hearing the other person, keeping your word, arguing, reconciling and knowing how to be there.

Curiosity

Asking questions, looking for answers, being surprised by ordinary things and never losing the wish to ask, “Why is that?”

Feelings and choices

Feeling angry, sad, jealous or afraid is normal too. Stories help children see those feelings from the outside and think about what to do with them.

When your child asks for one more story — and you can happily say “yes”

Discover the world through stories

Countries and traditions, nature and animals, everyday phenomena, extraordinary places and answers to a child’s “why?”. We weave new discoveries into adventures, so exploring the world feels exciting.

One more reason to spend time together

Read aloud, listen together, laugh and talk about adventures after the ending. Choose a story with your child — we have already taken care of its meaning.

For bedtime — and beyond

Before bed, on the road or in the middle of a quiet evening. Today you can read to your child, tomorrow listen together, and sometimes simply put on a story and let them get lost in an adventure of their own.

A little time for yourself

While your child is absorbed in adventures with Murkun and his friends, you can get on with your own things in peace. They stay in a familiar world of favourite characters and stories.

Created by parents

We created Murkun because we wanted this kind of place for our own children

We know that parental feeling well: your child is interested, but you still look over their shoulder from time to time — what are they watching now, and what will open next? Will an advert, a strange video or a plot you would rather not explain today appear?

That is how Murkun came to be. We invent Murkun’s world, its characters and their stories ourselves — and make them ones we are ready to show our own children. They are our first and most honest listeners: if a story does not captivate them, we do not convince ourselves that “it is good enough” — we go back to work.
